Thank you to all of those who attended the 2008 Arts Alive Art Auction and Run/Walk! Proceeds totaling $23,500 were raised in 2008 to support comfort care and hospice programs in our community. Your contribution has been used to purchase two electronic lift beds for patients at Aspirus Hospice House, sponsored a local support group for those who have lost a loved one and established the Kathleen Gaynor Ferris endowment. This could not have been done without the support of all of our sponsors, donors, artists and event attendees.
"I am not here just to make a living - I am here to make a difference". This was the way Kathleen Gaynor Ferris lived and how in death she is remembered. Her love of the arts and her commitment to making a difference in the lives of people in our community inspired her son and friends to create the Arts Alive benefit event. With the annual Arts Alive Art Auction and 5 Mile Run/Walk on April 17-18, 2009, we are making sure that quality of life is always a cornerstone in the lives of patients and families of hospice and palliative care of north central Wisconsin.

Proceeds Have Supported:
...in the first three years of Arts Alive over $60,000 has been raised in support of hospice and palliative care programs. Funds have been directed to:
- Completion of a respite garden for patients, families and staff at Hospice House
- Continued support of the local Compassionate Friends Grief Support Group
- Creation of the Kathleen Gaynor Ferris endowment fund
- Purchase of two electronic lift beds for the Aspirus Hospice House to provide quality care and comfort for patients.
