About ArtsAlive

Arts Alive was inspired by Kathleen Gaynor Ferris's love of the arts and her commitment to making a difference in the lives of people in our community. While battling leukemia Kathy became a patient of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was able to concentrate on being comfortable and living for the day. Arts Alive is meant to celebrate life through art.

Through the generosity of artists and support of our community Arts Alive has been able to raise over $40,000 toward the creation and completion of a respite garden at Hospice House. This garden will provide patients, families, volunteers and staff a place to take a much needed rest in a beautiful place.

Proceeds from Arts Alive 2008 will be used to provide quality of life needs for patients and their families as well as staff and volunteers. One of Kathy's favorite sayings was, Thank you for being a part of my day." We continue to carry on that legacy with Arts Alive.
