About ArtsAlive

Arts Alive was inspired by Kathleen Gaynor Ferris's love of the arts and her commitment to making a difference in the lives of people in our community. While battling leukemia Kathy became a patient of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was able to concentrate on being comfortable and living for the day. Arts Alive is meant to celebrate life through art and fitness.

Through the generosity of artists and support of our community, Arts Alive has been able to raise over $80,000 in the past 4 years. Proceeds have helped fund the creation and completion of a respite garden at Hospice House that provides patients, families, volunteers and staff a place to take a much needed rest in a beautiful place. Funds raised have also been used to purchase 8 electronic lift beds for Hospice House; establish the Kathleen Gaynor Ferris Endowment Fund; provide support for the local Compassionate Grief Support Group; and purchase outdoor furniture for the patio and gazebo.
