Proceeds Have Supported

Arts Alive Events over the past five years have raised more than $100,000 which have been donated to provide quality care for hospice and palliative care patients and families of north central Wisconsin. Initial proceeds were used towards the completion of the respite garden at Hospice House which was dedicated in September, 2007 and provides patients, families, volunteers and staff a peaceful place for reflection, meditation and exercise.

Arts Alive Weekend funds have also been used to help support a local Compassionate Friends Grief Support Group, purchase electronic lift beds, new window coverings and lift chairs in each room at Aspirus Hospice House. Funds have also been used to purchase outdoor furniture for the patio and gazebo, and create the Kathleen Gaynor Ferris endowment fund to ensure continued support in these projects.

Future proceeds will be used to help fund a music therapy program at Hospice House and provide access to hospice and palliative care for unfunded patients.  We will continue to work towards providing support for patients and families of north central Wisconsin who need hospice and palliative care.
